The one and only masked DeeJay Mac Da Villain is one of the finest DJ’s on 2 turntables Newcastle has to offer even at such a young age of just 20 his ability behind the wheels of steel would have you thinking he was seasoned veteran, his play style similar to a smooth RnB/Hip-Hop & Trap DJ with hard hitting track selection that will keep crowds guessing, mixing genres and keeping his track list packed with old skool jams and rock all the way down MoTown, Classic Rock Ballads and old skool island jams with hard bass drum lines. He’s had the pleasure and honour to share the stage with some of Australia’s finest DJ’s and his dedicated attitude and high energy show at every venue he plays.
With unrivalled personality and energetic stage presence, Newcastle’s own Mac Da Villain has spent over a decade on the decks. He has established himself as a well rounded and respected DJ within the Hip-Hop culture which first fuelled his passion as a teenager and began his love affair with turntablism.
Mac’s dynamic quality has granted him ample opportunities to showcase his skills in other arena’s. With packed out gigs in some of the Hunter’s biggest nightclubs, He has an impressive list of supports for International touring artists such as; Lil Jon, Xzibit, Bow Wow, Chingy, Savage and DJ Total Eclipse.
Mac Da Villain is known to think “outside the box”. Being an enthusiast of many genres, he aims to take people on a musical journey using his sets as an adventure through sound. He continues to be influenced by artists like; Q-Bert, Z-Trip, Jazzy Jeff, Total Eclipse and Mathmatics.
Most recently Mac has been working with local artists including; Zaccy P, Dawn Laird, Pep-C and Talakai. Mac’s explosive energy and clean sound has seen him record tracks for a number of artists and secured him a place on a national tour kicking off later this year.
