Bitter Belief, Dazastah & Complete head to the Pilbarra Region to partake in some community workshops with the local youth.
Karratha, in Western Australia, is over 1500 kilometres away from Perth and has a population of around 20,000. The city’s name is derived from a word in a local Aboriginal language meaning “good country” or “soft earth.” Karratha, and it’s surrounding regions has been severely affected by drugs, alcohol, gambling, violence & abuse leading to a high proportion of children considered vulnerable in terms of their physical, social and emotional development.
“The young people of these communities identified Bullying as the number 1 issue so the city of Karratha invited us up to create a song and video with the kids addressing bullying and racism, ” says Bitter Belief.
“It was an absolute honour for all three of us to be involved in this project and was amazing to see the young people connect with the music the way they did”
Never Gonna Keep Us Down by the Youth of Karratha is an inspiring song that tackles bullying head on.
