Want Feedback, you’ve got it.
Jack River (aka singer, songwriter, producer and festival owner Holly Rankin) and rapper B Wise (James Iheakanwa) will deliver keynote presentations at Feedback 2019, a conference built for and targeted at the music industry’s next-generation.
Presented by MusicNSW, the day-long summit will take place Aug. 24 at JMC Acadefmy in Ultimo, central Sydney, with a host of speakers representing all corners of the music industry.
Triple j’s House Party host Ebony Boadu will emcee the event, which is framed around panels, networking sessions and sharing good advice for folks aged 12-25 who’re keen to make a living in music.
Confirmed speakers on the day include Allegra Caldwell (co-head of sync – creative and marketing, BMG), Cameron Walsh (DSP management and strategy, Comes With Fries), Caroline McKnight (APRA AMCOS), Casey O’Shaughnessy (senior booking agent, Select Music), Dave Ruby Howe (music director, triple j Unearthed), Doron Losky (artist manager, imbi the girl, Dameeeela), Joe Muller (director of music, Mary’s Group) and Viv Mellish (co-founder, GYROstream).
Now in its second year, Feedback is the “perfect opportunity for young people who want to learn how to get gigs, release music, build a fan base, work with publicists, get airplay, find a manager and everything else to progress their music career,” organisers say.
